What We Do |
The Herts Speakers Club holds regular meetings, to which guests are always welcome. Hertfordshire Speakers Club is a friendly and supportive environment.
Members of the club prepare and deliver speeches, on topics of their choosing, according to a structured programme. The speeches are evaluated by other members of the club.
Everybody gets evaluated, and the evaluation is always delivered in a friendly and constructive manner.
We also have 'table topics' in which members, if they wish to take part, are given a topic to deliver a short speech on without preparation.
Table Topics quite often covers light hearted topics, and is good training at thinking on your feet.
We also have competitions, involving other clubs in the local area. Success in these competitions may mean that you represent Britain internationally, as one of our members did recently.
The Hertfordshire Speakers club is part of Toastmasters International. An organisation devoted to personal development in a friendly and supportive environment.
